“This may hurt just a little.”
The Basic Info
CHARACTER NAME: Jane Callon Fischer
NICKNAME(S): Dear One (by Aro only)
AGE: 16 - appearance, 400 actually
GENDER: Female
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Straight
SPECIES: Vampire
COVEN/PACK/NOMAD: Volturi
DIET: Human Blood
SPECIAL POWER:
Jane has the ability to create an illusion of pain on her victims. When Jane inflicts torture on her victim, it physically does nothing to them, as Jane only has the ability to trick the mind into thinking there is pain. Jane can control how much pain she inflicts on her victim. The pain that Jane inflicts is described as being like "burning" inside of the victim. However, her power is useless on Bella, even when Bella is human. The reason for this is that Bella can block out a person's mental ability, as witnessed by Edward's inability to read her mind. Her ability is considered strong enough to incapacitate someone into a helpless target. But, unlike her twin brother Alec, who can use his powers on many people at the same time, she can only use her powers on the one object of her focus. Another difference is that her gift is really fast unlike Alec's that takes time to creep up.

The History
DATE OF BIRTH: March 31st, 1610
PLACE OF BIRTH: Langenburg, Germany
CURRENT HOME: Volterra
IMPORTANT PEOPLE: Aro, Alec
FULL LENGTH HISTORY:
Jane Fischer and her twin brother Alec were born on March 31st, 1610 in a small village called Langenburg, Germany to Anna and Christian Fischer, the local village miller. When the two were smaller, they were wonderful to be around, and they were loved by the villagers. The twins would always lend a helping hand when needed, but Jane was more against helping others without her brother around. Despite their children, the twin's parents were different kind of people. Christian, as the village miller, was not well-liked, as he could withhold grain, charge too much, or beef up his grain with sawdust and no one would ever know. He was also very well off, and while his wife did deliver cakes for special occasions to the villagers, she was outspoken and did little to quell the rumors.
When they were five, their father died suddenly of an unknown illness. Across the world, witchcraft was predominant and many were being burned at the stakes. Around the same time that their father died, several other males died mysteriously. Their mother became withdrawn, using foul language, cursing, and drinking heavily. The twins were at a loss as to what to do, and discovered they could only rely on each other, especially when their mother would throw an especially dangerous fit. Once, Jane was almost thrown out a window. Another, Alec was almost hit with a glass bottle. It soon came to light that their mother had make several cakes for the families whose fathers had died around the same time as the twins’ father. On Shrove Tuesday in 1615, their neighbors accused Anna Fischer of witchcraft and poisoning and threw her in prison. The twins were sent to live with a friend of the family, Eva and Daniel Hessler, who lived in the same village. Anna was put on trial and sentenced to burning at the stake. Despite Eva trying to keep the twins away from the execution, they wanted to see their mother. They reached the village square just as the sentence was carried out, and watched their mother die before them, her screams forever echoing in their ears.
It was no surprise then that the twins became more withdrawn, only speaking with each other and lashing out verbally when anyone would go near them. Village life was not easy, especially when Germany was still reeling from war-time indignities and striving to become more modern. Alec and Jane only had each other, despite the attempt of Eva to make them feel at home. It also didn’t help that Daniel Hessler was seen often with other ladies, and never home. When Eva wasn’t around, Daniel would often try to hurt the twins, both verbally and physically. Strange things would often happen around them if either was angry or hurt, such as people suddenly dropping into convulsions, or others suddenly becoming completely numb.
One time, when they were eleven years old, Alec and Jane were playing out in the yard with a neighbor’s friendly dog, and Daniel came home after drinking too much. He saw them, and immediately headed straight to them, aiming to hurt the twins because the barking of the dog and their laughter annoyed him. Eva saw this and ran outside, trying to stop him. Daniel backhanded her, leaving her stunned on the ground, and grabbed Jane around the throat. He lifted her into the air with both hands, squeezing her throat in an attempt to strangle her. Alec tried to stop him, pulling on his arms and yelling at him to leave his sister alone. A mist began to form, rolling across the ground and creeping up Daniel’s legs. Daniel froze, finding himself suddenly unable to move, and dropped Jane. Jane, luckily, landed clumsily on her feet, but even as she held her throat, pain visible in her features, she was glaring at Daniel. Daniel fell to the ground, convulsing in pain, and both twins ran then, frightened at what had happened. They ran until they reached the edge of the woods, falling to the ground in front of a rather large tree and holding onto each other, not knowing what had happened, and scared.
It was at this time that they would first meet Aro, a tall man with long, dark hair, whose ivory skin was flawless, and his eyes a deep red. The twins were still holding each other when he approached them, cloaked in a hooded robe, most of his features hidden from them. When he crouched down beside them, they were afraid at first, but he touched Alec’s arm with a soft smile. Alec and Jane stilled at that moment, unsure at what was going on, and then the man introduced himself. He told them he was a friend, that he had been watching them for quite some time, and that they were both very special. He seemed to know everything about them, and so, in their minds, he must have known their parents because he only knew things that family and friends would know. He left them at that time, telling them that he would be back one day, and told them not to be afraid of their special abilities. These were not things to be afraid of, and that they should use them whenever they felt threatened. The villagers wouldn’t understand. They were the only ones who could protect themselves.
Aro left them, and the twins returned later that day to the village. Eva refused to talk to them, and Daniel avoided them. The twins didn’t know what had happened, but when the rest of the village began to give them dark looks, or veer away from them whenever they drew close, they were hurt. However, they also remembered what Aro had told them, and remained loyal to each other. Their personalities began to darken over the next year as the villagers seemed to shun them, and soon they were both forced to make a home for themselves in the forest. One time when Jane went into the village to steal food, three of the village boys cornered her, calling her a witch. She retorted angrily and threw a rock at them. They continued to call her names, not allowing her to get away from them. Alec came into the village to look for her and found the boys trying to hurt his sister. Quietly, with a hidden menace in his voice, he told the boys to leave her alone. When they refused, Alec’s eyes met Jane’s, and together they killed the three boys. They snuck through the shadows to go back to their shelter before anyone could see them, and while they were afraid of what they had done, they realized it also felt good to get the upper hand on the people who had tried to do them harm.
That night, while Alec and Jane were sleeping, the villagers hunted the two twins down, dragging them from their sleeping spot kicking and screaming. They took down several of the villagers with their abilities, but they were quickly knocked unconscious. It was the heat that woke them as fires began to grow beneath their feet. Alec and Jane were terrified and struggled to free themselves from the stakes at which they were tied to. It was then that Aro appeared, slaughtering the entire village before them, and rescuing them from the fires. At that moment, he turned them both into vampires, and took them to Volterra to become part of the Volturi. Over the years, they quickly became the most valued member of the guard, due to their incredibly powerful gifts. Jane became one of the highest ranked guards, her nature darkening over the years, along with her brother’s.

A recent appearence of one Lezar Vasilli has lead to a dangerous awakening of physical emotion in Jane; and due to this she keeps him a secret. He joined the guard for her, and their relationship lives only in the dark. Jane, despite her wildly changing stand-points, attempts to appear unchanged. So far, only Alec, Aro, Demetri, and Lezar know of her new emotions.

"This castle was built over five hundred years ago..." Entertaining humans long enough to lure them to the main chamber, or throne room, was a pain. Jane walked slowly and talked with such an apathetic tone. Behind her the crowd of humans conversed about what they thought they knew about the castle. Rounding up this tourist group was easy enough. There happened to be one coming in today, and all Jane had to do was go and offer them a private tour, for the actual tour was tomarrow but humans could never be that patient.
The time stretched on and on; never had the throne room seemed this far away from the main entrance. But, of course, she had to walk at an extremely human speed, and kept stopping to please the group who wished to have a longer look at the decorations. Almost silently, Jane sighed. She was still sulking about Alec and Rachel, whom she'd seen just a few hours ago. She'd left to take his job- rounding up tonight's dinner. Eventually, though, the group came upon huge, ordinate doors. Jane smirked and grabbed ahold of the handles. Quickly, the doors were open and within a matter of seconds the doors were locked behind her little group- consisting of about thirteen humans. Not very big, but there would be more tomarrow. When the humans began to worry and feel threatened, Jane ignored them and bowed swiftly to Aro. "The humans are here, Master."
Jane, curiously, went after a young boy whom had tagged along with his father. He was about nine, she guessed, and he wasn't very fat. Of course, he wasn't skinny skinny either. The average weight for a boy of his age. Jane took his hand and led him over to a corner, the whole time he stuggled against her grip. What are you? said the boy in a small, scared voice. Jane, whom was just a little taller than him, looked down with a blank face. Human kids had never really affected her. He would die, just like all the others. Deciding it would be fun to torture the boy visually first, Jane turned him around so he could watch the rest of the Volturi feed. He turned back with huge eyes. Pitiful, in the face of death humans were so weak. All of them.
"Must you know?"[/color] Smiling slightly, Jane watched as the boy fell to the floor at the exact time she enabled her power. He screamed his head off, his skin turning red. Writhing in pain he rolled on the floor. Had he thought Jane had set him on fire? Was her really that naive. Apparently.
